The
2010 Spring Fishing Derby for Challenged Adults took place April 17, 2010 near
Gilmer, Texas. 30 fishermen caught numerous channel catfish over 12 inches and
many more smaller ones. Below is a slideshow of the event and it is evident from
the smiles that it was a complete success. The event included 10 sponsors and
guardians and 25 volunteers for a total of 70 people involved in this event! We
saw old friends and made new ones! Thank you the Ballard family, all the volunteers
and sponsors that made this fishing derby a great success. Your efforts go above
and beyond. Thank you from COA-NETO!
Several
folks went home with lots of catfish filets. These fish averaged over 2 lb each
with some going close to 5 lbs. Check out the smiles and thumbs up in the closing
photos!!!!!!!!
