Challenged
Outdoorsmen of America - Northeast Texas Outdoors Chapter was formed in January
of 2008. Challenged
Outdoorsmen is a non-profit organization that provides persons with disabilities
and disadvantaged youth the opportunity to experience free of charge the outdoors
without limitations.
COA-NETO's
goal is to encourage the development of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline,
teamwork and self-assurance to all participants.
Members
of the newly formed NortheastTexas Outdoors chapter have worked as volunteers
on the ground and as volunteer staff for Challenged Outdoorsmen of America since
2003. All members of COA-NETO are non paid and strictly give of their time and
hearts for the benefit of the participants.
COA-NETO
is actively seeking more volunteers. We need able bodied individuals for a variety
of unique opportunities, such as transportation, cooking, fundraising and general
activity preparation.
COA-NETO
is constantly seeking challenged people along with disadvantaged youth. All events
are offered free of charge to those taking part.
COA-NETO
is made possible by contributions from companies, organizations and individuals.
COA-NETO is a 501 C (3) non-profit organization.
Your
generous donation will be used for the benefit of the participants. None of our
officers or staff are paid and all serve on a volunteer basis. We had our inaugural
hunt - for whitetail deer by disadvantaged youth on January 19-20,
2008. We have more events planned for both the disabled and disadvantaged!
